Italian
man shot in head sneezes out bullet
An
Italian man amazed doctors by sneezing a bullet out through his nose after
being shot in the head and is expected to make a full recovery.
Darco Sangermano was hit by a stray bullet while he was
celebrating New Year’s Eve with his girlfriend in Naples, Italy, reported
Britain’s BBC news.
The
.22 caliber bullet passed behind the 28-year-old’s right eye and got
lodged in his nostril.
Bleeding
heavily, Sangermano was rushed to a hospital in
Naples. But while he was waiting for doctors, Sangermano
sneezed and the bullet popped out of his right nostril, reported the BBC.
Professor
Sid Berrone carried out an operation on Sangermano’s nose to remove bone fragments and he was
then discharged.
Berrone told the Daily
Mail: “This was a very strange case and the first of its kind that I am
aware of, certainly in Italy, I have never heard anything like it before.
“He
was a very lucky man, he could have been easily
killed.”
